Get Back To Basics This Holiday With Harbinger’s Core Four

PRLog (Press Release) – Sep 04, 2009 – Holidays can be overwhelming enough when it comes to selecting the right gifts for your loved ones. That’s why Harbinger makes it easy for those who want to give a fitness gift this holiday season. Harbinger’s mantra? Get back to basics. Harbinger has the four key elements of fitness in mind when suggesting the perfect fitness gifts to give this holiday.

“Despite the myriad messages we receive about fitness, the fact is that the basics haven’t changed,” says Michele Gaedke, VP of Marketing and Product Development for Harbinger Fitness. “There are still four key elements of an effective fitness routine: cardio, strength, core and stretching.”

Gaedke recommends one basic piece of fitness gear for each fitness element.

For Cardio – Anti-Microbial Speed Rope - $12

Jumping rope with the Harbinger Anti-Microbial Speed Rope is one of the fastest ways to get an effective cardiovascular workout. It’s also one of the easiest ropes to use, thanks to steel bearings that ensure a smooth, consistent swing. The Speed Rope is 9’ long, but can be shortened. Don’t be afraid to sweat – the anti-microbial handles are germ and odor resistant.

For Strength – Men’s or Women’s Pro Gloves - $15

Lifting weights is key to strength training. If you’re a weight-lifter, you know a good pair of gloves is essential to any routine. Gloves protect not only from gym germs, but also from the knurling texture on weight bars that can dig into the hands. And without gloves, repeated lifting of heavy weights can cause calluses. The Pro Gloves’ are made with Wash&Dry® Leather and stretchy Ventilator Mesh, making them machine washable and dryable without compromising the ability to bend fingers naturally while keeping your hands cool. The Men’s gloves feature an adjustable wrist closure for a snug but comfortable fit, and the Women’s gloves feature a slip-on design that’s easy to pull on and off. Men’s colors: natural/black and black; Women’s colors: pink/black or gold/black.

For Core – Balance Trainer - $25

Enhancing core strength is vital to improving overall health and wellness. Harbinger’s Balance Trainer is a versatile and unique core balance tool that can be used while sitting, standing or kneeling to strengthen core muscles and improve balance and posture. It can be used on its own or with balls or cables. Its bright blue PVC surfaces are easily wiped down after use.

For Stretching – Resistance Cables - $15-17

Experts recommend 15 minutes of stretching every day. Harbinger Resistance Cables are available in varying resistance levels and feature one-of-a-kind, rotating molded foam handles that make stretching more comfortable.. The cables are made from the highest grade tubing to withstand repeated stretching without cracking or tearing.

This holiday season, heading back to basics is a great way to ensure a happy, healthy approach to fitness gift giving!

Today the company designs a full range of innovative, high-performance fitness products built to enhance training for both serious and casual fitness enthusiasts. Harbinger’s products include fitness gloves and training gear such as belts, straps, wraps, balls, jump ropes, resistance cables, balance trainers and mats.
