New ‘Daily’ Bargain Web Site Launched in Response to UK Consumer Value Hunting

PR Log (Press Release) – Dec 28, 2009 – Yorkshire, UK. A new website has been launched this week by a serial entrepreneur who aims to capitalise on the UK consumers increasing demand for better value products, while also focusing on a simple to use web experience.

With the UK economy still at low ebb, UK consumers seem unlikely to abate their insatiable demand for better value products and bargains. A recent report by the British Property Federation shows a 60% increase in the number of high street pound shops over the last two years. And while big names stores continue to feel the pinch of the recession, discount retailers continue to go from strength to strength. The report noted "The increase in discount stores represents a marked change in the psychology of shoppers.’

While the High Street is responding well to the changes in consumer demand, one UK entrepreneur still believes the net offers opportunities to transfer these trends online. Jonathan Truelove, a former Leisure Operator from Yorkshire hopes his newest web venture DealOfThe.com will provide that service.

Jonathan said ‘DealOfThe.com aims to offer a simple, secure online bargain outlet without the complexities of online auction sites and large online shopping sites. Our core target consumer is an older slightly less web savvy consumer who simply wants to buy bargains for themselves or gifts, without the need to bid, register, operate complex carts or trawl through thousands of items that ultimately confuse the decision and buying process. It’s quite simple what we aim to do – and that’s offer them one new bargain product every day and make it as simple as possible to purchase it. If they like it, they buy it there and then with a couple of clicks. If they don’t fancy it, they wait until the next day to see what the new bargain will be. It’s simple.’

Jonathan continued ‘It was while watching my father try to fathom eBay that I realised we younger generation take our web skills for granted. At 72 I considered my father quite capable with his PC, even having seen him Skype relatives before! But when he wanted to find a bargain gift online, trying to explain the basics of shopping security, online fraudsters, peculiarities such as ‘feedback’,  ‘buy it now’ and the ‘added cost’ of postage, not to mention the ‘origin of goods’, I realised there needed to be a better solution for simple UK bargain purchases people like him’

DealOfThe.com will allows its followers to do just that, find simple, easy to understand information on daily UK bargains with no complex navigation, registration, bidding, hidden postage charges or unease that they are being scammed. It’s online shopping and bargain shopping in its simplest form. All items are in stock, and the site uses one of two famous checkout options, PayPal or Google checkout, to ensure the simplest and securest purchase procedure. Additionally, all products include free UK delivery so buyers don’t have to worry about hidden charges and there is no biddong. It’s easy to use and secure.

The company plans to add a simple online bargain shopping website to its service later in 2010 continuing the simple purchase bargain theme.
