PR Log (Press Release) –
Nov 26, 2009 – Leading online ski wear and outdoor clothing retailer Outdoormania has bolstered its customer services team with the appointment of two new customer services representatives. Joining the skiwear team, the move will help to improve all areas of front line customer support.
Linzi Brooker (32) and Victoria Kelly (25) join the existing customer services team in time for the forthcoming ski season. Both join Outdoormania having worked in similar customer services roles at leading call centres in the Yorkshire region.
Outdoormania managing director Sara Longden sees the move as an essential step in improving customer services: "Whilst we have always been dedicated to supplying the best possible customer support possible, last year the skiwear season was exceptionally busy and it's fair to say that, at exceptionally busy times our customer services team struggled to cope.
"This double appointment will help to alleviate a similar situation happening again. This year we have invested heavily in both improving and expanding our ski clothing and accessory range and now have a dedicated ski division in Skimania. As a result we expect skiwear sales to be higher than ever. We therefore identified a need for a team that would fully support our customers, even in the hectic periods. These appointments are just part of our ongoing investment to achieve this."
The appointments follow a £15,000 investment in a new consumer friendly telephone system designed to connect customers to relevant support staff as quickly and directly as possible. The system features easy to follow voice prompts as utilised by leading customer services companies including BT and The Post Office.
Prior to frontline integration into the existing team, both Linzi and Vico
tria received Outdoormania's heralded snow training programme including product familiarisation for ski clothing and ski accessories including ski goggles, snow helmets and brand introduction for leading ski brands including Trespass, Helly Hansen, Bolle and Dare2b.
The company's newly formed skiwear division, Skimania caters for all areas of the skiwear community though has a bias towards entry level and intermediate skiers. The division offers a wide range of ski clothing including; ski jackets, ski pants and ski salopettes, a wide range of snowboard clothing and a number of accessories including thermal underwear base layers, socks, gloves hats and ski goggles.
Outdoormania and Skimania can be contacted online at www.outdoormania.co.uk or www.skimania.co.uk or by telephone on 0870 495 5500 (normal national rates apply).
